CSS can be used to change the background of any element, whether it be an entire page or just a table. A background can be a color or an image. Below are some examples.
In order to apply a background to the entire page we apply the background to the
body element like below, but I will be applying it to a standard
div box for demonstration.
Let’s start with just a basic color as a background, using the same example above, but only apply it to this div box.

I came across a problem today while blogging. My problem was that when I made an image a linked image, only a section of the bottom of the image would change when hovered. Hovering over a regular text link worked fine. Below is an example of my problem along with the CSS and HTML.
On my old site with a different CSS there would be a little strip of a border at the bottom whenever I hovered over it. It is the “background-color” property which should be none. Read More » »
